Bringing Sawyer home and a January Update.

Yu Ming Jian and other friends were invited to the Chamber of Commerce  New Years Eve celebration and they performed "Lonely Hearts".  Steve with Heritage adoption agency talked to the orphanage Director, this is what he said after talking to the Director.  He seems a very nice boy!-- very very handsome to Chinese standard .

As many of you know, making a decision to adopt is big. There are many things to consider and one of them being money. We really didn't think that another adoption was in our future, but the weight on our hearts would not go away. The journey to Yu Ming Jian began months before Christmas, 2007. We saw his picture on the Heritage list and longed to bring him home, but thought there is just no way and clicked his picture away. Periodically over the next few months we would see the children up for adoption and notice that a family had not committed to a beautiful little boy named Yu Ming Jian. Two weeks before Christmas we knew that Yu Ming Jian's paperwork was going to be sent back soon and that was very likely going to be his last chance of ever having a forever family. We requested his paperwork, but then put it out of our minds through the holidays and believed that God would open doors if we were to adopt Yu Ming Jian. Still not thinking it was possible, then in the middle of January the doors opened and the decision was made. Yu Ming Jian's paperwork was not going back to China on February 1st. We are bringing him home!!
We are so excited! Eliot couldn't be happier and well, the girls are thinking, another boy......... Yu Ming Jian (Sawyer) lives in Changshu City China. It is in the province of Jiangsu and is very close to Shanghai. His birthday is July 18, 1999. He likes sports, is well behaved, extroverted, smart and a polite little boy that does chores and helps the other children. He is doing well in school. He speaks to his elders politely before he is spoken to. He goes to school during the week and then his foster mother "We", picks him up on Friday. We have to add this! : ) In the past he was naughty, but with the help of the teachers and nannies he grew out of it. We think he looks like an angel, but we guess that he is not.
