Shanghai, November 1

This post office dated back to the Ming Dynasty, 1400's. These pictures are of postal uniforms that were worn then and letters that were written. One was written on the back of a turtle by a soldier. It was a message that had to be sent quickly. The Chinese Postal Service started as military courriers and then turned into a postal service long before Benjamin Franklin. Last but not least on the way back into the city we saw this truck. The back was a truck and the front was a roto-tiller. In China they make everything work.
