School

School just started for our kids and it has been a huge adjustment for all of them including the teachers. They are all in new schools even though we have not moved. Plainfield just built an unbelievable new high school just down the street from our house, that will come in handy in the future. We feel so fortunate that the kids all love school. Payton is playing on the golf team and really likes her teachers. Eliot is playing football and if your wondering if Eliot was thrilled about going back to school? He was! He told us that nobody has a school this nice!! Then wanted to know if he could stay longer. Mike and I just looked at each other and said OK....... He and Bret, his cousin, are in the same class for the fourth year in a row. They scored an A+ on their teacher. Everyone likes her already. Gabrielle and two of her cousins, Cokie and Lyric, started kindergarten
this year. Their classes are just across the hall from each other and they were really funny yelling goodbye to each other as they went into their rooms. There was a little girl crying in Gabrielle's class when we walked in and she kept glancing over at her because she couldn't understand why anybody would be crying when they were in this great place "kindergarten". Aunt Sandy picked Gabrielle up from school on her first day and she came running out saying, "I'm a kindergarten girl now!" She loves her teacher also, she said that she is very nice! Darby will start pre-school in two weeks and she will only call it pretty school. she is as excited as Gabrielle and took it all in stride that she could not start school the same day that the others kids did.
